In the wake of the Abrahamic Accord signed in Washington, the first kosher certified restaurant in the United Arab Emirates opened on September 17.

Called Armani / Kaf, this 40-seat establishment, located on the ground floor of the five-star Armani Dubai hotel located in the famous Burj Khalifa tower, offers gourmet dishes in accordance with the dietary laws of Judaism.

The “glatt kosher” and “Pas Yisroel” certified restaurant – the only kosher certification based in the Emirates – will operate under the supervision of Levi Y. Duchman, Rabbi of the United Arab Emirates.

Fabien Fayolle, chef of the Armani Hotel Dubai, will officiate in the kitchen, offering a menu reflecting Dubai’s multicultural demography, with dishes with flavors from Asia, Europe and the Middle East.

You can taste spaghetti bolognese with fresh basil and cherry tomatoes, pan-fried sea bass with parsnip purée or beef bourguignon with root vegetables.

For those looking for traditional Middle Eastern fare, the menu features tahini hummus, baba ganoush, sumac seasoned fattoush salad, and creamy lentil soup.

Located in an iconic location overlooking downtown Dubai, the Armani hotel Dubai becomes one of the few five-star hotels outside of Israel to offer its guests a kosher dining service.

The Armani / Kaf restaurant will be closed on Shabbat. A kosher delivery service is also in the works.
