On the instructions of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council, the Supreme Committee for Crisis and Disaster Management in Dubai, chaired by His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, adopted preventive measures and measures for the emirate’s New Year celebrations during the committee’s meeting to review preparations for the New Year celebrations.

She emphasized that cooperation in properly implementing these procedures is critical to Dubai’s success in the face of the “Corona” pandemic, which necessitates continuing this exemplary cooperation in order to achieve the primary goal of precautionary measures, which is the health and safety of all citizens and residents, as well as visitors to the emirate.

His Highness, Chairman of the Supreme Committee for Crisis and Disaster Management, confirmed that Dubai and the UAE as a whole have achieved qualitative success in addressing the pandemic due to a number of factors, the most critical of which are community cooperation, concerted efforts, and integration of action plans, emphasizing that the preventive measures that remain in place today are a result of keenness. Dubai’s government is devoted to promoting and protecting the health of all members of society, including citizens, residents, and visitors.

  • Everyone is required to wear masks in all celebration areas, whether closed or open.
  • Commitment to taking precautions in enclosed spaces and maintaining social distance.
  • A punishment of 3000 dirhams will be imposed on any violator who does not agree to wear a mask.

Regarding the fireworks, which are a vital component of New Year’s celebrations, it was decided to hold them in 29 locations throughout the Emirate of Dubai, allowing everyone to enjoy them without crowding in specific spots and in a safe environment.
