On the instructions of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council, the Supreme Committee for Crisis and Disaster Management in Dubai, chaired by His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, adopted preventive measures and measures for the emirate’s New Year celebrations during the committee’s meeting to review preparations for the New Year celebrations.

His Highness, Chairman of the Supreme Committee for Crisis and Disaster Management, confirmed that Dubai and the UAE as a whole have achieved qualitative success in addressing the pandemic due to a number of factors, the most critical of which are community cooperation, concerted efforts, and integration of action plans, emphasizing that the preventive measures that remain in place today are a result of keenness. - A punishment of 3000 dirhams will be imposed on any violator who does not agree to wear a mask.
Regarding the fireworks, which are a vital component of New Year’s celebrations, it was decided to hold them in 29 locations throughout the Emirate of Dubai, allowing everyone to enjoy them without crowding in specific spots and in a safe environment.
